Works Progress Administration District 8 scrapbook and photo album 1940-1941

This collection contains one scrapbook and one photograph album highlighting the achievements of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) in Georgia, District 8. The scrapbook is titled Professional and Service Projects of the W. P. A. and the photograph album is titled Women's and Professional Projects of the W. P. A. Under the Supervision of Lucy B. McIntire. Included are progress reports of jobs undertaken by WPA workers, photographs of WPA projects in progress, and blank forms created and used by the WPA. Lucy B. McIntire (1886-1967) was a District 8 supervisor based in Savannah, Georgia.
